BIOGRAPHY: Tanju Tuncel was born in Adana in 1940. She graduated from Akhisar Secondary School, Erenköy Girls’ High School and the Theater Department of the Istanbul Conservatory. She got married and divorced with Necdet Yakin. She started the theater at the Youth Theater. She was retired at the Istanbul City Theater with the law of 60 years.

Tanju Tuncel continued to act in TV series after his retirement. She starred in TV series such as Stranger at Home, Liar Yarim, My Companion and Extended Family. She also portrayed the character of Hatçe Nine in the films Eyvah Eyvah 1 and Eyvah Eyvah 2, which also starred Ata Demirer and Demet Akbağ.
