Beginning his career in theater, Münir Özkül entered the world of theater through Devekuşu Kabare Theatre. He later became a prominent figure at Istanbul City Theatres, performing in various plays for many years. Özkül gained recognition particularly for his achievements in theater, solidifying his status as one of the prominent figures in Turkish theater. He ventured into cinema in the 1960s, leaving a lasting impact on Turkish cinema with memorable roles. He was beloved and widely recognized for his portrayal of Mahmut Hoca in the “Hababam Sınıfı” series.
